Sightseeing in Guardamar!

Guardamar del Segura is a quiet town in the province of Alicante, in the Spanish autonomous region of Valencia. This seaside resort on the Costa Blanca has almost 16,000 inhabitants.

Guardamar, as it is often called, is best known for its breathtaking 11 kilometers of coastline. You will undoubtedly find a lovely spot on the beach to relax and enjoy quality time with your family or partner. The municipality also has a lot of greenery and a large part of the area along the sea is protected. North of the city center, the Segura River extends into the Mediterranean Sea. During your stay in Guardamar del Segura you can really enjoy the Costa Blanca!

There are many places of interest in Guardamar and we have listed a few of them.

• Boulevard
  An extensive boulevard runs along the beach of Guardamar where you can eat delicious food or visit the shops.

• Beaches and dunes
  Guardamar is known for its wide and beautiful sandy beaches. There are even 3 Blue Flag beaches in Guardamar: Playa Centro, Playa del Moncayo and Playa de La Roqueta. With golden sand and crystal clear sea you won't want to leave!
  In the summer there are many huts where you can eat and drink. The beaches are guarded by Red Cross lifeguards. On the north and south side of Guardamar you will also find beautiful dunes, where you can enjoy the view.
• Night market and fair
  In the summer months there is a lively market and funfair in Guardamar every evening. This can be found next to the Reina Sofia Park.
• Reina Sofia Park
  In the center of Guardamar is a fantastic park. Here you will find a large children's play park, picnic benches, lakes and waterfalls. There are also many animals such as ducks, swans and turtles. You can also encounter peacocks and squirrels. In the warm summer months it is wonderful to relax under the trees with plenty of shade.
• Cycling and walking

• Guardamar . Castle
  If you want to enjoy a great view, head to El Castillo de Guardamar, which is built on the hill and overlooks the city and the surrounding area. The fortress is free to enter.
